VOLUNTEER PAGE

How can I be involved in the formation of our students?

Adult Ambassador

  • willing to greet kids with a smile
  • follow up with newcomers with post cards and birthday cards

 Youth Ambassador (Teen)

  • help newcomers integrate into their small groups
  • follow up with some kind of contact that week, thanking them for coming and re-inviting them
  • responsible for coordinating icebreaker/games on large group nights

Small Group Leader

  • assigned a small group of eight students
  • act as facilitator for discussions, activities, etc.; keep group connected and informed about class sessions, retreats, outreach opportunities, and social events.
  • weekly commitment preferred; one week planning, one week facilitation of small group lessons.

Teen Musician

  • practice and perform in band every other class

Adult Musician

  • practice and perform in band every other class

AV Volunteer

  • responsible for gearing up and shutting down all AV each week
  • keep AV area organized and clean  

Set-up/Takedown

  • Team 1 - 5:45-6:45 pm
  • Team 2 - 7:30-8:30 pm

Kitchen Volunteer

  • assist with food preparation, set-up, and clean-up

Volunteer Coordinator

  • recruit volunteers
  • maintain volunteer list
  • communicate regularly with volunteers
  • create volunteer recognition and gifting program

Communications Coordinator

  • oversee photographers, videographers, promotion material developer, email editor, Facebook master

Photographer

  • take pictures of the event activities and put into visual presentation

Videographer

  • take video of the event activities and put into audio/visual presentation

Promotion Material Developer

  • given a list of events for the year
  • stay in contact with video/photographers to get new images
  • promote last event and upcoming event by contacting webmaster, Facebook master, email editor, Sarah Luter for bulletin and screens • create hard copy flyers for each event; these should incorporate images from photographer

Email Editor

  • create and send out a weekly email, interviewing Larry West for updates
  • get approval from Larry West before sending out each Wednesday Facebook Master
  • coordinate with email editor and communications coordinator to post Crossroads news, updates, events, etc. Event Coordinator
  • view diocesan website to find events for the year and create a calendar
  • ask for weekly updates from Mark Knox and Larry West about events, help flesh out the details, avoid calendar conflicts by staying in touch with Michael Vinez
  • create and complete an Event Communication Form for all events
