Activities include:
(we'll be camping in National Wilderness Areas every night after day 1)

Day 1:  Travel & stay the night at Mother Cabrini Shrine in the old "Stone House".  The stone house was an orphanage founded by Mother Cabrini.  At the shrine, is a beautiful chapel, gardens, and a statue placed at the top of a hill where you can see for miles!

Day 2:  We'll explore Mother Cabrini Shrine, have mass, then head off to Idaho Springs for a gold mine tour.  Russell, Greer, Rachel Jenkins, and my best friend Jeremy and I went there expecting something lame... but man!  It was incredible and way cooler then I expected!

After the gold mine tour, we'll take a drive over Guenella pass, and head on over to Fairplay to set up our 2 night campsite.

Day 3:  Today, we'll be taking it easy with a day hike around Fairplay, and visit historic South Park.

Day 4:  Hope you're ready for this one!  We'll wake up at 4am and summit 14,000 foot mountains Mt. Democrat, Mt. Lincoln and/or Mt. Bross.  We've gotta be down before the afternoon storms roll in, so we'll be moving pretty quickly in the extremely thin air!

After the exhausting hike, we'll drive to Buena Vista & visit ghost town from the early 1800's - St. Elmo.  This is close to a 4x4 drive road... but the ranger district seems confident that our mini vans will have no problem.

Day 5:  Get ready for class 3's and 4's while rafting down Browns Canyon with American Adventure Expeditions as our guide.  Don't worry, if our guide falls out, I used to be a rafting guide with this company!

After our rafting, we'll go and relax at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs!  They've got a 100 ft. slide, and 3 relaxing pools of different temperatures.

Day 6:  After camping in the San Isabel national forest, we'll wake up and drive to the top of Pikes Peak.  We'll swing by some awesome cliff dwellings from hundreds of years ago, and do some rock climbing at the garden of the Gods on the outskirts of Colorado Springs.

Day 7:  We'll camp and be ready for day 7 at the Great Sand Dunes National Park for some day hiking, and playing in the sand dunes!  YES SAND DUNES!!!  Bring your sleds!

Day 8:  Unfortunately, its time for our drive back home.  We'll be home late that night around midnight.
